For the past few years, I haven’t been able to spend time with my family during Holy Week. But it strangely felt okay for me. I would have been bored to death in our too peaceful rural area. At least here in the city, I have the internet to keep me preoccupied.
With my housemates going to their respective homes for the Holy Week, I had the house all to myself. I’m not too keen with following the Catholic traditions related to this season. I’ve become agnostic over the years. So, no Stations of the Cross for me, prayers, etc. If there is anything I could possibly do, this would be reflecting on how I might become a better person for this year.
My housemates would arrive later, and our place would be a little lively then. By next week, it would be my turn to go to our province. My sister would be celebrating her birthday, and it has been a tradition on my part to attend the celebration, which also serves as a moment wherein I can visit my family. I would have to stand being bored to death for a few days by that time.
